This is an outstanding quote by Abraham Lincoln. One of this quotes meaning is that it isn't about winning it is about being true.  It is about choosing the right. It also says that you have to stand with people who CTR while they CTR. This is until he goes wrong. You always have to chose the right. If you chose the right and help others you will feel good about yourself. You will also make others feel good. If we make mistakes we have to pay for our mistakes. For example when Abraham borrowed a book from his neighbor. When the book got damaged he decided to pay for it. He worked 3 days in a corn field.

This quote means that with 1 lie you say big or small it doesn't matter it will turn into another lie. When you say a  lie it could turn into a bigger one. You will always have to be covering the truth. Sooner or later the truth will come out. If you lie people wont trust you. Lying can lead to many consequences. It takes 1 lie to make many more. For example if you come home late because you were at a party and lie to your parents and tell them you were at your friends house you will have to come up with more lies to cover the truth. For example making it seem like if you were there. Also telling your friend to back you up. By lying you could hurt people.
